Into His Likeness

11.10am

Dr Edward Sri

How do I know if I’m really growing in my relationship with God? We are called to follow Jesus Christ so closely that we are covered with His life, changed, and made new. This transformation doesn’t happen overnight. Drawing on Biblical examples such as Matthew the tax collector, Paul the persecutor, and Peter the denier of Christ, Dr. Sri reminds us that living as a disciple is a process. It involves moving from the truth of our broken human condition to the Truth of our high calling—to be perfected in God’s love and transformed in Christ.

Dialogue

12.20am

Dr Edward Sri and Fr Emmanuel Mansford

Join Fr Emmanuel and Dr Sri as they discuss how to read the Bible within the living Tradition of the Catholic Church. The conversation will see them respond to questions such as:  Where did the Bible come from? How is it inspired by God? What is Salvation history?

Lunch break

Lunch will be served in the Parish Centre. It will cater to all dietary requirements. There is overflow seating in Café Manoppello and you may like to eat your food outside in the square.

Walking with Mary

2.00pm

Dr Edward Sri

‘The surest, easiest, shortest and the most perfect’ way to Heaven. That is how St Louis de Montfort described Our Lady. Walking the Biblical narrative with Mary step-by-step from Nazareth to the Cross we will consider how she faced moments of joy and thanksgiving, uncertainty and discernment as well as moments of trial and darkness. On our walk of discipleship today, we can learn much from her trusting response to the will of God.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament

2.50pm

Throughout the day there is Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament either in the church or in the small chapel attached to Café Manoppello. At this point in the day, we will spend time in adoration of our Lord present in the Blessed Sacrament and allow Him to speak into some of the deep truths that we have heard so far.

Praying with the Bible

Sr Hyacinthe Defos du Rau OP

We engage with God’s Word on various levels - literal, allegorical, moral, and anagogical - learning how to approach your Bible in different ways can deepen your faith. Sr. Hyacinthe demonstrates how to apply this method to any passage, guiding you in prayer and spiritual growth.

Two | The Heart of the Matter

Meeting Jesus in the Bible

Fr Emmanuel Mansford, CFR

“Who do you say that I am?” Jesus’ question echoes from the pages of the Bible, through history, to you. Blending the Gospel narratives with his own testimony of personal relationship with Christ, Fr Emmanuel helps us get to the heart of the matter by meeting Jesus in the Bible.
