Serving Soho’s
homeless and vulnerable

We aim to allocate 80% of our profits directly to feeding the poor. We are able to do this thanks to our generous volunteers.

St Patrick’s, Soho feeds and cares for 50 to 60 homeless and vulnerable guests on an almost daily basis, with cooked breakfasts, evening meals, and film nights, all of which break down the walls of loneliness through good food and warm company.

Hospitality is really important to us. As is great quality coffee. Hence we serve Monmouth coffee, sourced from small farms worldwide. Come and try it for yourself.

Our coffee house has a unique shop built into it. All the items in our shop are products from monasteries across the world! It’s a great place to pick up a truly one-of-a-kind gift.

Through a door inside the coffee house, you can access a small chapel. This is a great way to tap into the stillness of prayer in a hectic part of the city.

Why Manoppello?

Manoppello is a town in the heart of Italy.

It is the home of ‘the Holy Face of Manoppello’, a veil which holds an imprint of the face of Jesus. On his way to the cross, a woman named Veronica used her veil to wipe Jesus’ face. The Holy Face of Manoppello is believed to be identical to the Veil of Veronica, with Jesus’ image imprinted on it.

This story reminds us to look for the face of God in the people that we meet, to offer them hospitality and to care for them. In this way, our coffee house exists to offer hospitality to our guests and to care for the poorest in our neighbourhood.

We are looking for volunteers

We are able to use our profits to care for the homeless and vulnerable of Soho because our team is made up of volunteers.

Are you passionate about good coffee, hospitality and service? If so, we’d love to have you on our team. When you sign up, just tick ‘Cafe’.
