We'd love for you to join us for a candle-making workshop with Sinead Peacock from SINCERIS. Together, let's create something special that'll light up and add a little extra warmth to your Advent season. Tickets are £18 (£12 for students) and there are a limited number of spaces, bookings open soon. Come and get creative with us!

SINCERIS is a small Wiltshire-based family company. Established in 2013, we are dedicated to producing a range of quality home fragrances and natural face, hair and body care products.

We asked Sinead about her work and the link between creativity and faith.

Why did you get into candle making?

My dad started soap and candle making 10 years ago as a little retirement project and began to educate me on the importance of natural ingredients. When he was ready to retire again three years ago - because SINCERIS had grown from its tiny beginnings. I couldn't go back to using commercial products so, as I was on maternity leave, I decided to learn how to make soap and candles and I haven't looked back since - I love it!

What's your favourite thing about it?

I really enjoy creating something that gives other people pleasure or that can help heal their skin through natural remedies - I never saw myself as a creative person but I am discovering this part of who I am.

What's a link between the art of candle making and faith, for you?

We are called to be a light to the world and I am currently taking that quite literally as well as spiritually. I particularly like making blessed candles for First Holy Communions and Baptisms. I have taken a leap of faith this year to give up the security of my part-time teaching role and dedicate more time to our family and to SINCERIS. Also, through the Good Samaritan range, I feel I am helping Our Lady to bring Heaven's remedies into people's homes.
