Dear Friend,
My heartfelt thanks if you can find the time to read this brochure. It explains rather better than I can in this short letter, how Saint Patrick’s reaches out in many ways to the homeless, those in the community of Soho. And far beyond.
For more than two hundred years the doors of St. Patrick’s have stayed open to all. True to our missionary vocation, we are not faltering in our resolve or trying to re-invent the wheel. Rather, it seems to me, our wheels have come off and we need your help to put them firmly back on again.
I say this because our church is slowly but surely crumbling around our ears, and we urgently need to restore it to enable us to carry on with our work. Which is why we are knocking at your door and asking for your material support.
There is so much to give thanks for, not least for you reading these words. Please know that you are always welcome to visit us here in the heart of the West End, and that you will be remembered daily in the prayers of the Parish. We ask that you remember St. Patrick’s in yours.

Fr. Alexander Sherbrooke,
Parish Priest of St. Patrick’s Church
